A mi se me hace cuento
que empezó Buenos Aires.
La juzgo tan eterna
como el agua y el aire.

Es precisamente en Buenos Aires que se lleva a cabo en estos días el 322 Congreso Anual de la International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery (ISPN).
Por primera vez Argentina es anfitriona de un congreso internacional de neurocirugía. Ello constituye un reconocimiento a los aportes que la Escuela de Raúl Carrea realizó en el campo de la neurocirugía infantil.
Como escribiera nuestro poeta Borges, "... nadie ha descubierto el arte de vivir en el futuro o en el pasado. No hay obra que no sea de su tiempo". Esta obra, el Suplemento de RANC dedicado al Congreso Internacional de Neurocirugía Pediátrica ha sido posible gracias al apoyo y participación de destacados colegas de todas partes del mundo. Con ellos, hemos logrado esto... nuestro presente.
A ellos, nuestro agradecimiento.

It is precisely in Buenos Aires in these days that the 322 Annual Meeting of the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery (ISPN) is carried out.
For the first time, Argentina will be hostess of an international congress in neurosurgery: a recognition to Raul Carrea's pediatric neurosurgery school contributions to this field of neurosurgery.
As our well-known poet Jorge Luis Borges wrote, "nobody has discovered the art of living in the future nor in the post. There is no work that does not belong to its time." This work, the Argentine_Journal of Neurosurgery special supplement dedicated to the International Meeting on Pediatric Neurosurgery, has been possible thanks to the support and participation of outstanding worldwide colleagues. Together we have attained this our present.
To them, our gratitude.
